Tissue salts for acne
Tissue salts stimulate cell metabolism by providing cells with the nutrition they need and are not homeopathic but rather micro doses of the body’s 12 vital minerals prepared following the homeopathic method of dilution.
The tissue salts are inorganic mineral substances exactly the same as those that compose our earth and soil. Any deficiency or imbalance could result in illness. Dr. WH Schuessler, a 19th Century German Homeopathic Physician regarded them as the material basis of the organs and tissues in the body.
Tissue salts are completely safe and non-toxic. They can be used safely by infants, children, adults, elderly, pregnant women and pets.
Silica (Tissue Salt no. 12)
Silica is a great tonic for the skin, hair and nails. It provides support to the connective tissues and provides grit to the cell membranes. Silica strengthens, eliminates toxins and disinfects the skin by driving the defence cells in the immune system to intensify their attack on bacteria. It helps improve condition where there is a tendency to pus and blind skin eruptions – pimples, abscesses and styes. It also helps where there is a tendency to slow healing skin and scarring/adhesions.
Calc Sulph (Tissue Salt no.3)
Calc sulph is a blood cleanser and resolves suppuration (when pus is building up). It helps with pimples and boils. This discharge is characteristically thick and yellow and often blood streaked. It is great for wound healing and corrects a tendency towards slow healing. It works really well with another Silica.
Kali Mur (Tissue Salt no.5)
Kali Mur is great for removing congestion where there is chronic inflammation as it is a lymphatic cleanser and glandular tonic. It is a great detoxifier and blood purifier and it helps destroy pathogenic waste during the second stage of infection (when pus forms). It works well with Calc Sulph to cleanse and purify the blood.
Kali Sulph (Tissue Salt no.7)
Kali Sulph is a skin and mucous membrane conditioner and balancer. It works well with Calc phos because it helps to build new cells when the old ones are worn out in the recovery phase or third stage of an infection.
Combination D-Skin Disorders
This is a combination of the 4 remedies mentioned above: Silica, Calc Sulph, Kali Mur and Kali Sulph. It is recommended for teenage acne and as an acute remedy for pimples.
Nat Sulph (Tissue Salt no.11)
Nat sulph is known as a liver cleanser and excess fluid eliminator. It supports the liver, kidneys and spleen especially where there is excessive ‘dampness’ or conditions which are worse from damp. It has an anti-inflammatory effect.
Nat Phos (Tissue Salt no 10)
Nat Phos helps to emulsify fatty acids and is a pH balancer – it helps when there is too much acidity in the body. It is useful when the skin is greasy, especially in the T-zone, and where there are large pores, black heads and pimples.
Ferrum Phos (Tissue salt no 4)
Ferrum Phos would be applicable where there is a great deal of inflammation and redness in the skin with throbbing pain, heat and congestion of acne and pimples. For the first stage of infection before pus forms.
Calc Flour (Tissue Salt no.1)
Cal. Flour is a component of elastic fibres and connective tissue and helps to tone the skin. It helps break down and soften any hardened or tightened conditions of the skin or glands.
